Envision a perfect world. What do you see? I’ll tell you what you should see.
Equality. Equality in all things. You’re not opposed to equality, are you? Equality makes angels sing and God smile. Equality should be the first priority of all people.
How do we achieve equality in all things, you ask. Well the first thing we have to do is realize that excellence is the opposite of equality. If excellence is allowed to exist, how can anyone be equal?
Excellence is exceptional. Anything that is exceptional is by definition is an exception. And an exception by definition is not equal.
The recently deceased cracker Steve Jobs is a good example. Cracker Steve was a visionary in the field of technology. He achieved excellence. He was an exception. He made piles of money. Because he made all that money, other people couldn’t have the money that he had. All that money Cracker Steve had could have fed all kinds of poor people. Unfortunately Cracker Steve died without giving poor people his money. That’s not fair. It’s not equal.
There should be some government entity that could have stepped in before Cracker Steve made all that money and forced him not to make all those cracker devices. Cracker Steve was allowed to steal food from the mouths of poor black children in the name of technology.
If we are to aggressively pursue equality, we cannot continue to allow people like Cracker Steve to hold themselves higher than the rest of us. People cannot be equal if some people just refuse to allow themselves to be the equals of others. I call for legislation to outlaw the patently racist practice of refusing to be equal.
This legislation should be able to interrupt the means by which people climb above others. It should take from people their excess according to their ability, and provide that excess to others according to their needs. Is equality too much to ask for?
